Planting Timeline for Vegetables in Aquaponics

Most seedlings are now available all year round, but this often doesn’t mean they will grow successfully when planted out of season. The following list should assist you in planting out at the right time year. A good tip to assist newly planted seedlings is soak the entire punnet in a bucket of seaweed solution and use this to wash off all soil, then apply a seaweed or fish emulsion, (say 1 cap per watering can), as a foliage feed every couple of days until they set. For new systems and new plantings where you don’t have enough fish, you may need to use a foliage feed, like Seasol Powerfeed, or any good liquid fertilizer. 1 to 2 capfuls in a watering can and foliage feed your new plantings, you can do this with confidence without affecting you fish.
